It is so hard for me to grasp that my baby girl is six today! I remember this moment so well. The feeling of awe. We could not get over how she was just in my belly & now we were able to see her... hold her... touch her.... smell her. Our lives were forever changed. What a true miracle. Miracle!

All I know... I was given a very special gift when God chose me to be her mother. She is the spark in my step and the twinkle in my eye!

I can not believe I have not shared a picture of my new gift yet! It is an early birthday present from my parents to me! Yippee! Go ahead... you can say it... you know you love it! Well... all I know is I absolutley adore it! LOVE it!

It couldn't be any more perfect for me & my taste! It will be fun finding just the right spot for it in our new home too. No... we do not have a new home yet! I will keep you posted of course. With all the crazy ups & downs of this "moving" roller coaster... atleast I know we are headed in the right direction... right where we are supposed to be... when we are supposed to be! It's all coming together!

After dropping the girls off for a day of Kindergarten & Mommy's Day Out... I ran around town with latte in hand and a big ol' smile on my face. You know one of those mornings where you are singing loud (don't care if someone sees you) like you are one with the music... tapping your foot to the beat & truly enjoying the moment at hand! Well... that was me this morning!

Music always does such good for my spirit. It awakens me... motivates me... pushes me! Does it do the same for you? Nothing like a good song no matter what your mood. Being able to listen to music... having this sense... what a gift!

back when... wednesday

I just came across this the other day. Back when... Campbell was almost one! It truly seems like yesterday... her little hand was just the size of my palm. Hard to believe she is just days away from being six years old!

I am so glad I did these hand prints... need to do it again NOW... both the girls are growing up sooooo fast! My head spins in awe... how they are growing... how precious today is... how we are so lucky!

Okay... so here I am this weekend going nuts not being able to pull out all my things and go for it. I'm ready for this move! Now! Not ready to leave my friends & family for a bit in Texas... BUT we'll be back before you can catch... a pig! Fast!

So anyway I used what was out & available and made a couple new t's for big sister. She loves them. I think they are kind of fun too. Better than the "boo" one? :)

The girls and I went out last night in our jammies and did the traditional "booing"! Campbell was fast! They always get so excited about ringing the door bell & running off! We really had fun! We couldn't think of any Halloween songs to sing... are there any... so we sang Wheels on the Bus & Chicken Lips & Lizard Hips! It was a real treat of a time!

is it fall yall?

It somewhat looks like fall... it somewhat feels like fall (down to 91degrees today)! Fall is by far my favorite time of the year! I love the feel of cold grass on my feet and the sound of crispy leaves blowing about!

I am really looking forward to the "wardrobe switch"! I love to wear jeans & pants & layers... layers... layers. Then being able to wear boots without feeling like your feet are in their own personal sauna! How I love my boots!

Fall... fabulous... Fall! You are such a joy to us all!

We're kind of having a red themed day today! Red kidney beans for dinner... red finger nail polish on (brand new... with tags still on) pants... then of course seeing red! Bold bright red!

Am I the only one that can lose cool over spilled finger nail polish on carpet, pants, etc? The good news... after scrubbing/dabbing/twisting for a good hour... the polish is out of the carpet! Woo Hoo! Once again the good ol' web saved me! Googled it! Windex of all things got it out! Really!

Now... I am going to enjoy some red wine! Happy Tuesday evening! Tootles!

P.S. I use my sister's cajun bean recipe... it rocks! Let me know if you want the yummy fall treat of a recipe!

Look it's my old purse! I'm thrilled that it was saved over all these years... thanks mom! Dare I say it is vintage! Well... when you get this old... yep!

It sure is fun to see the girls play with it now! They love it & think it's so cool! I think it is pretty darn cute too!

Rolling out up bed... is it already Monday? really! Where did the weekend go?

Took quite a bit of persuading to get miss kindergartner up this morning! She was in a great mood though... ready for what the day will bring! Daddy is walking her to school this morning... what a treat... for both of us...
I'm still in my jammies! :)

jaw dropping... Ron Mueck

Yes... jaw dropping! When I was pregnant my sister sent me a link to one of his pieces... the pregnant woman... I couldn't believe it! I came across Ron Mueck again yesterday... GOSH! His work truly amazes me! I would LOVE to see his exhibit in person. From a prop & puppeteer maker to hyperrealist sculptor! How awesome! He is awesome! This is certainly his extraordinary gift in life!
