she graduated

"oh yeah... oh yeah... i'm a first grader now! " Those were her first words running to the car! So funny! She was like a super star!

We are SO proud of her! Her awesome teacher says she is "crazy smart" and "eager" to learn... she really said that! She is one of those people that "gets" reading... and is well above her expected level! Woo hoo... our daughter's got some serious noggin! :) Can you tell I am her mom! I am just so happy for HER!

Last year she was a little mother's day out graduate...
this week... she will be graduating from kindergarten!
Seriously... where has the time gone?

these are of her last year... A YEAR...
A YEAR... like a snap of my fingers.

Do you ever find yourself
shaking your head at the idea of "time"...
how fast it seems to pass?

Occasions like this remind of how the clock tics!

So much can change in a year!

a completely different track!

I am in awe of the power of tomorrow...
I am in awe of what tomorrow CAN bring.

We went festival hopping for Mother's Day!
We first set out to go to the Jazz & Art Festival...
BUT the "art" was not our taste AT ALL!
The music was FUN... the weather was PERFECT...
and I had a pulled pork sandwich that was finger licking GOOD!
The little gals grew bored really fast &
were ready to hop to the next thing... carnival here we come!

my sister and me! what is it about those toddler bath time pictures! some of my favorite pics of our girls are of them in the bath... they're so funny!

my sister... one of the only other people in my life (besides hubby of course) that sees me in my birthday suit to this day! what is it about that? i have no shame... i guess that is a good thing... she loves me know matter what! :) sisters!

bath time around here... you never know what you're going to get! first they may not even want to get IN... then you can't get them OUT!

Why did God make mothers?

3. God made my Mom just the same like he made me.

What does your Mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your Mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect.
Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your Mom,

1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean.
I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my Mom smarter. Then she would know
it was my sister who did it and not me.
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on her back.

Why is it that I could not come up with six unimportant things about myself?

For some odd reason... I found this hard! It's ALL important right???? HA HA!

So... Kate of all trades... Just sweet Bean... Hip mom of Boyz... Simply Lanny and any other crazy gal that tagged me... here you go! :)

• you will never catch me far out in the ocean like this... my nutty friend Sophie! i say "far out"... barely over my knees... Jaws IS out there and I know I would be tasty! :)


• i would bathe in Mexican food if I could... well maybe not bathe in it... BUT... i could certainly eat it every day... hands down!


• i go to the bathroom ATLEAST five times during the night... it is crazy... but normal for me... always been this way!


• i am not a dress kind of gal... i like to feel pretty... i just can not wear skirts or dresses... very rare! i basically look like a dork if i do... and it feels "too breezy" to me! :)


• showers only! we lived in our last house approx. six years i think i took about three baths the entire time... and that was only (TMI... get ready) because i HAD to sit in a sitz bath after giving birth! :) sorry... you were warned! :)
