way back... wednesday

today... i thought i would share some photos
that hold deep meaning for me...
that i look at often...
that have a story all their own!

These are some shots i took in my gran-mama's studio.
I wanted to remember things just as she left them.

Her studio was a place you could "FEEL"...
it was ALIVE!
Alive with a soaring spirit...
abounding creativity...
flowing inspiration...
a deep LOVE!

Holding her near me today as i set out to take on the day.

Your grandmother was so talented. Mine was, too. She could do any kind of needlework. She was amazing. And I miss her, too. I know how you feel.

i've been talking a lot about my grandma to the kiddos lately and jack came home wanting to watch a clip of annie's first day of kindergarten when he was talking funny...it was right after annie's birthday party where my grandma was sitting right there in the chair of our family room...seeing that shot of her & hearing her voice took my breath away for a second...the holidays coming up should definitely be harder this year, but so great that we have so many wonderful memories to reflect on...

sending you hugs...

The paint brushes start off the story. It is great that a smell, thought or picture can take you right back there.

This reminds me of my mom. I used to love playing with those gummy erasers when I was little.
