she graduated

"oh yeah... oh yeah... i'm a first grader now! " Those were her first words running to the car! So funny! She was like a super star!

We are SO proud of her! Her awesome teacher says she is "crazy smart" and "eager" to learn... she really said that! She is one of those people that "gets" reading... and is well above her expected level! Woo hoo... our daughter's got some serious noggin! :) Can you tell I am her mom! I am just so happy for HER!

she checked the mirror a dozen times before leaving...
are we already at that stage!

waiting for her name to be called

isn't the florescent lighting glorious...
I was just happy to not be in a swimsuit...
I did actually have that thought!

the cherry on top... waiting in line to
"create her own" sundae

I know grand-parents will appreciate this post! :)

I'll most likely be back a bit later... always something to share! :)
I'm off to scratch... scratch... scratch! I touched some kind of dad gum poison plant... you should see my neck & face... not lovely! I am miserable! Whelp woman... that's me! Praying for some healing over here!

Wishing you a fabulous Friday! Happy smiles & a happy heart!

I just teared up! What a smart sweetie! She's GORGEOUS and SMART! CRAZY!!!

Oh man, I feel for you with the poison. I'm praying that you find some relief - my suggestion, as I've been through the awfulness too many times - take Benadryl and SLEEP! I know you're a mom though - so thats a whole lot harder for you than it is for me!

Sorry lil lady! Hugs - even with all the poison and tons of Caladryl!

Our first grader has 12 more school days to go! We keep teasing her that we wonder if her report card will say she has to stay behind in 1st grade, despite all her "E's" thus far...;)
Your daughter is beautiful! WAY TO GO!!!

I just noticed your "retail therapy" section...I love me some Wisteria!!! They have the coolest stuff and some of my favorite new things have come from there!
Happy weekend!

She is such a doll. They get big way too quick, don't they? Your girls remind me a lot of my own daughter. She's almost 5 but is growing up right before my very own eyes-way tooooo FAST! :(

burt's bees has this AWESOME poison 'everything' remedy (like a tar soap i think?) and it works for me. i'm allergic to poison ivy from texas (leaves of three leave them be) but whatever they have here in colorado effects me in the same way - grrrrr! hugs, rachel
