My sister & I obsess so much we always say...
"what are you obsessing about today"?

And over the silliest things!

How many times can you write your to-do list over again...
because you just do not like THE WAY IT LOOKS!

How many times can we really change clothes...
because it just DOES NOT LOOK RIGHT!

Oh and then the Facebook thing... I am OBSESSED!
Now if I could just find the TIME to get over there...
how many requests & notifications can sit there...
I know they're there... I'm coming! :)
I find myself thinking about WHO I can LOOK UP!
Consumed... but oh so neat to SEE everyone!
way cool... way OBSESSED!

How much can I fret over this piece.
I found it at a local shop... super deal... great bones...
for the guest room!
I became totally consumed with a mistake I made
with it... every time I walked in the room I got SO upset!
I took out the wrong shelf...
and in turn had to remove them both...
NOT what I had planned...
OBSESSED with making it RIGHT.

Then at night... while trying to fall asleep
that's when all the obsessions from the day HIT...

"oh my gosh... i forgot to respond to her email"
"oh my gosh... i have not ordered the party platter"
"i STILL have not sent out their bday presents"
"oh my gosh my brows are out of control"
"i cannot believe i ate all that spinach artichoke dip"

I'm starting to think it is an obsession...
about obsessing...
thinking everything has to be
JUST SO... PERFECT... all the time!
The mind can run wild with such UNIMPORTANT things!
Steering us away from what is really important!

Do guest REALLY care about what the furniture
is in that room... pleeeeease!

Does it really matter if I wear the brown OR black shoes...
or my brows are over-grown?

The fact I am wondering... pondering... called my sister
to ask her... if this post even makes sense!
OBSESSED!

Pleeeease do tell... do you ever OBSESS?

ooooooh... i'm telling ya...

it feels like i JUST put my head down on the pillow!
When the alarm went off...
i sat up & said out loud "REALLY?... no way"... ugh
i need some SERIOUS coffee... might be
a perfect Starbucks latte morning!

It IS Wednesday... YES... that lovely hump day
that brings so much hope with it! We can make it! :)

Today is one of those days...
sort of like yesterday... trying to balance it all!
Some things just gotta give! I could not agree more Krista! :)

One thing I am THRILLED to say... see that
big yellowish envelope... those are our 2007 taxes...
(yes, we're legal, we filled an extension)
on the way to the post office... woo hoo!

I am getting near the end... well since THERE IS NO END...
I am getting to a comfortable spot with the laundry!

So i can fit in little moments like THIS!

With the "to do's" mounting I am looking at the list
wondering what I can "put off"... there will not be enough
time... not gonna happen.

I think we spend most of their time prioritizing...
figuring out how to fit it all in...
oh... to make EVERYONE happy...
wanting to end the day feeling ACCOMPLISHED...
yet staying flexible for all those little surprises!

I'm thinking I'm going to let some things "give" today...
So I can spend more time "counting skittles"!
Is there something you can let "give" too?

Little bit & i are off to the gym & out to run errrands!
We've got a birthday party to pull together! :)

It was a COLD (and 39 degrees right now)...
GRAY... RAINY... weekend outside!

So... the girlies went bonkers INSIDE!
What is it about rain that does that?
I can remember being in school and loving
days like that! It seemed like a treat...
it felt special... like we were "camping out"
away from all the wet outside!

Honestly... I wouldn't mind just one more
rainy day! I get a little charge...
a little renewing! Like the rain washes
away the dull & brings in a fresh new spirit!
And... well... my spirit can always
use a lift... a big fresh kick in the rear!

earlier this summer... a wild tomato plant
sprouted out of the ground at our house!

The house we live in was just built before
we moved in... we're thinking maybe with the
strong winds here... some seeds blew over
and they sowed themselves right in a perfect spot.
Must have been just right because we never
noticed it until it grew these lovelies.
We do not know much... in fact nothing about
growing veggies... we just leave it be...
let nature foster it... it continues to produce.
