way back... wednesday

Back when... I was just shy of six and my sister was four. Now... just get over the fact that we look like a couple ragamuffins... we had just been playing outside in the rain! Oh those we the days! We would play outside ALL day... we would be so dissapointed once it was dark... time to go inside.

These pictures... even though they are not good quality & have spills on them... are my favorites! I treasure them now! When I look at them I can almost take myself back to the innocent... silly... moment we were having... this was a GREAT moment in our childhood!

My sister and I... wow... we used to fight SO badly! Really fight! Hit... kick... jump on each other... hit each other over the head with hair brushes... oh yes! It almost kills me to think about that now. We would make my mama nuts! I can remember it just like it was yesterday... she would grab her head "you girls are making me crazy"! NOW let's flash forward thirty or so years... I now grab my head and say "you girls are making me crazy"! Full circle... life! Memories!

Now I need to run & play with my little ragamuffins! We have valentines to make... yes I'm running behind... still IN time though!

Here's to making today a silly... innocent fun... kind of day!

I had website technical difficulties... the pull your hair out kind! Lovely ladies had placed orders of which I was completely unaware! Yikes! BIG yikes! It looks like it is all good now! Thank GOD!

You know the funny thing... as crazy as it was... in a silly kind of way... I am glad I got the opportunity to talk to you on the phone! That was so fun! Thank you for being so understanding! Really!

seeing yourself...

wouldn't that be so neat to be able to see YOUSELF with fresh eyes... see yourself as other's see you. Really see yourself... not as yourself.

I think it might be quite interesting to see! Would the weaknesses be the same? Am I as friendly as I think I am? Am I as short as I think I am? Yes... you are! Do I look like I need a rescue from "what not to wear"? Do I really yell THAT loud? Am I a good friend... mother...daughter...sister...wife? Am I cute? Am I really that rude to my husband? Do I look out of shape? Do I show love often enough? Am I really being all I can be? Do I.......? Am I...... ?

What would I REALLY see? What changes would I have to make... hmmmm... thinking about this.

raspberry morning

my two cents for the morning... if you like raspberries... well... and you like coffee... you'll love this coffee cream! Raspberry goodness! Yum!

I made a small update to the shop yesterday. Finally! AND I have some other fun things I will be adding this week too! Moving to a whole new state has been interesting! I will say... I have had so much fun having my hands covered in "goo" all weekend! I really need a pic of how lovely I look wearing my goggles and mask (safety first)... the gals think it is the funniest thing!

I have added a new category to the shop... buckle it! A good gauge... when you often have perfect strangers stop you over what you are wearing... that's a good thing! Well... I love fun buckles... so... why not!

It's Monday... Monday! Here's to a real humdinger of a day! Go out and get em!

pigtails & progress...

Precious little stinker! It is ten a.m. here and miss thing has already changed clothes three times! On one hand it makes me nuts... on the other it is kind of cute! Three and all about her look!

So... I let all the mess pile up yesterday (oh how I'm thinking today "what was I thinking") so I could have some fun in the 'ol studio/my space! I will finally be making "happy" with the shop! I miss... like a crazy woman... just creating! The outlet is good for the spirit!

Anywho... I will be able to add some delights (atleast I think they are) to the shop in the next couple of days. Yeah!

As for today! I actually have a haircut appointment! I'll be hopping over to the local Aveda salon and making "happy" with my hair! Yeah!

way back... wednesday

back when I was about to pop! Pop with our second little drama queen. My stomach began to look like a third breast... my belly button... my goodness!

I do not think that big sis was quite prepared for the event ahead... well I guess kind of like daddy & I were not quite prepared. I don't think you really ready... you just have to jump in.

Having two girls is a real blessing! They have their moments... their temper tantrums... their stubborness... their arguing... their sassiness... however I know it is ALL good. All of these crazy things will evolve into good "tough cookie" traits! Tough cookies are good!

there's a mouse in the sugar

Snow day outside means warm tea inside! The snow is melting fast... just in time for a chance for more tomorrow. Personally... I love it! I'm all for the snow falling... Spring will be here I just like the idea of having seasons. Houston (oh my love) was never a place to see such a change. It should be fun and good for the girls to enjoy it while we're here.

Back to school today & back to getting busy. It's so strange... I am a big perfectionist but I am a big procrastinator too! There has been folded laundry on the sofa table since Saturday... hello!!!!!... do you other people in the house know where your clothes go! Throw mama a bone!

I'll be catching up on many things today. The great... glorious thing... wonderful thing... I am feeling MUCH better! The dizziness is almost completely out of here. Thank you Lord for good health... thank you for a fresh new day!

losing any teeth?

okay... i just had to share cause they are SO fun! they are tooth fairy pillows! i purchsed two of these for the girls at Christmas... they love them too! they're SO well made & even come in their own little pouch! if you are in this loose-tooth stage as we are... check out her fun tooth pillows here! they are too cute!

daddy gets a gold star...

because he missed the end of the super bowl so we could see the Peking Acrobats! Now before you feel too bad for him... there is tevo! He watched the end once we were home.

Now the show... was incredible... amazing... "how can they do that"... astounding... you have got to see! If you get the opportunity (they're in your area) book some tickets! They will have you on the edge of your seat. They did things that boggle the mind. My pictures are THE WORST... I couldn't catch the best stuff... I was too busy freaking out... you just have to believe me!

We had a blast. Once the show was over we walked out to snow... so much snow that we have a snow day today... NO school!

If she's not in my lap... she's right next to the fireplace getting nice & toasty... smart gal! No matter my mood (i have many) she will always stick by me! My sweet Gretel!

I am still not feeling myself... for some reason this bug likes me... wants to stick around. It's the dizziness that's getting me... my head is in la la land!

Still plan on having a super weekend though... speaking of super... will you be watching the super bowl?

pink glitter

After resting yesterday a bit... I felt good enough to pull out some paint & glitter for the girls and we did some sparkly art. Glitter always brings smiles! We munched on popcorn (Riley's favorite) and made a big mess (wish I had a pic).

Later that night it was dinner... bath... a little mommy & me time... & bed! woo hoo! I get so excited when it is bed time. Most of the time I am ready too! Is that age or what?

I am claiming victory over this bug today! My head feels like it weighs a ton... tummy feels like it is full of gremlins... & I feel like I have been in a salad spinner! I've had it... okay... be gone! Yes! Done!

just what the doctor ordered...

That dad gum sick bug has got me good! I am going to do my best to be mommy & get some much needed rest... tuck myself in bed!

Way back when... I was a new baby that looked a bit like a little monkey... a cute monkey!

I was looking in my baby book yesterday... thanks mama... that is always so fun.

I just noticed this time that my first toy was yogi bear. My daddy brought it to the hospital... isn't that sweet. Other big deals... I was a big eater and good sleeper. I am happy to say I am still a BIG eater.. love food!

fish bowl... no more

We were thrilled to finally wake up this morning with woven woods on our windows! The neighborhood wildlife had to find someone else to spy on this morning! They are sooo pretty! Yeah!


They were sent in these really large tubes... the kids had a ball! I had to draw the line when they were searching the house for Gretel... they wanted to put her in the big tube! Run Gretel run!
I think that silly sick bug is trying to get me! I'm feeling it! BUT I'm gonna fight it! Get away from me buddy! The world doesn't stop when mommy gets sick... all must go on!

Monday is here! Too much to do... too little time!
