Jordan & a snuggly blanket

IMG_0023

sitting here this morning...
sipping on the brew...
wrapped in my two dollar thrift blanket...
isn't she cute... just LOVE her fun color!
Found her over Thanksgiving while in Texas!
Awe... it is a simple thing... but it sure makes me happy!

So... my brother-in-law posted new pics of his trip to Jordan...
my husband REALLY wanted to go... i wanted him to go...
but with EVERYTHING there is to consider... it just didn't work out this time.
Anyway... it makes me think again of just HOW different these two brother's lives are...
the adventures HE faces... the adventures WE face
my word... it is an amazing thing... the path life leads you down!
There are times i see his pics... and can't help but wonder if my husband ever
wishes he were in his shoes!  Is that normal?
I mean come on... who wouldn't want to float in the Dead Sea...
climb Mount Fuji... run with the bulls... have lunch in a Paris cafe...
get close & personal with the wild in Africa... to name a few!
My husband got to put up Christmas lights on our house this weekend!  :)

We look forward to seeing Toby over Christmas... he's coming to Colorado!
Where he gets a quick dose of KIDDOS!
I know we may not be his USUAL adventure...
but the girlies sure will give him a BIG dose of silly FUN!

Here's to an AwEsOmE Monday...
no matter what the day holds... i suppose it's what you make of it!
Here's to making TODAY the best it can be!
I'm off to wake up two little monkeys & start our WILD adventure!
xo

you know the grocery store was super exciting this morning. i got lucky charms for $2.99 a box! and it's the BIG box!!
and my favorite coffee was on sale.
so me and toby...we are about equally exciting.
:)

i know exactly what you mean about how you "wanted him to go". i wish my husband could go do exciting things and explore. but it just doesn't usually happen. but i wish it for him.

I know how you can make it all better. Just go on that trip to Belgium/Europe with him. He'd be all happy, Toby would be all happy, and just like your Denver Bronco excursion, you would find out it wasn't all bad after all!
Love ya,
Nonny

WoW... I just looked over all Toby albums, first of all, he's got an awesome eye and talent for finding beauty, secondly, thats freaking awesome that he's been to so many places.

So thirdly, you and your handsome hubby have also grown through many adventures... not floating in the dead sea but I'm sure that when he looks at his beautiful girls ever night, he knows he's on the best adventure ever.

But... I will pray and keep praying that God would lead you, open doors and help you two see the world a little more. To have some awesome and fun filled new adventures this coming year and years to come.

So... if you could go anywhere.. where would you go??

Hope your day is flowing happily and that your full of extra needed energy! Stay warm over there! Have a great adventure today!!

XO

You & your girls fill your hubby's heart with so much love & adventure...we all want to see new things, but right now, our time is meant for making memories & adventures at home. All that stuff is good for doing when the kids are grown anyway, right??

It has been a pretty good Monday and we have NO afterschool commitments today, and dinner is leftover Chicken Spaghetti from last night, so YIPPEE!!

Oooh...I can't wait to hear about your wild adventure today! Your such a fun mom Carissa!!!

and you hubby would rather be decorating the house than on some wild excursion because he has the greatest family!

Life is so different for so many... you always wonder the "what ifs" or look what they are doing... then I find out that they are looking at your life saying the same thing about you. With my husbands job is has had so many adventures that I can't even imagine what it is like then he comes home to us. and he feels like he missed so much...
but I did have a awesome Monday (just because) sometimes just getting my To Do list done is awesome!!
hugs,
LuLu

My husband's latest adventure was once again in the wilds of girlhood (we have two girls, 20 months old and 4 years old). He was getting dressed and was in his underware when our oldest walked in and said, "nice panties daddy"! No where else in the world he would have rather been at that momentF!

Poor hubby only got to hang Christmas lights instead of running with the bulls. LOL....

Happy Monday to you.....

Love the colors! They're some of my favorites this year and tend to gravitate towards them like crazy.

you really inspire me.. you should do a post on day just on how you stay so positive! I know I could use that!

Your pictures are fantastic.. what kind of camera do you use.. can you suggest a good one for me?
