a bit of color...

always brings this lil bit a smile!

a blank canvas...

some bold paint...

deep concentration...

ta-da!

"do you think Campbell will like it"...
always wanting to make her big sis proud!

think of me today...
nothing huge... crazy... unusual...
just something I have not done in...
oh... 18 years... good golly...
i am flat out getting OLD!
i am nervous... anxious...
embarrassed... i have butterflies!
ugh...
big time stepping out of my comfort zone!

So...
here's to a bright... colorful... bold...
step out of your comfort zone a bit...
sort of day! cheers & lol!

You can do it! Just don't forget to breathe!!! I'll be thinking about you today!

(Oh, and those aren't butterflies... it's the caterpillar inside you trying to turn into a butterfly! Get out of your comfort zone and you will grow those wings and fly!)

xo,

Carmen

Okay... are you going back to work retail at Express? Is that it? What were you doing about 18 years ago... let me think. Tennis? Aerobics? Taking a college course? That's it!! I'm doing the Carlton dance right now because I think I guessed it... Do I get a prize if I'm correct? A giveaway? What about a belt buckle!! just kidding... ~Jill :)

I want to do this next week with my homework club kids! What kind of paint did you use? I'm trying to figure out what kind to use.

hey Leah...
i'm sorry my post... didn't post the other day!
darnit!

i love acrylic paints... however with kids & mess... a washable paint sometimes works better!

Campbell's last bday party was a painting party... the kiddos loved it! we got those round plastic paint plates that have holes to put different colors... Walmart has them really cheap... that way less mess & each kid gets their own palette.

Big Lots has cheap stretch canvases too... for kids... why not... they don't need a high quality canvas anyhow! :)

i hope your play day is great... painting is always a hit! :)
