we gals had a super time yesterday! it was simple yet fun!

i found it quite fun watching them get poofed & pampered. little bit was all smiles... and then campbell thought she was all that after her cut... she was on a "fresh do" high! i love that feeling!

after lunch... a bit of window shopping... we headed home... but it was way to pretty outside (yes! bring on the Spring leaf buds)... so we stopped off to trek to the tunnel near our house... always get giddy screams for the tunnel!

me after a BIG spaghetti dinner!

Frankly... I LIKE that there was a place on the back of the polaroid to put all the photo's information. That was clever!

With all the digital advances we have today... I have been round & round about which way to go... store... keep... archive all our photos! I can not get away from still wanting an actual copy of the picture I can hold in my hands... touch & share! Even though I toot around digitally with our photos... store them externally... I still have prints made of all the pictures. Now... as I say that I have quite a ways to catch up on having prints made... lots of pictures!

Given all the wonderful... really super digital programs and such... do you still find it a bit confusing... the preserving aspect... the having tangible copies... the what if the hard drive has a snafu? Or am I the only looloo one?

So... today is Wacky Wednesday at school... that means there is NO school! We wacky gals are headed out for haircuts... a little lunch... and a walk down main street! Might have to pop into one or two of the cute shops!
So... here's to a wonderfully wacky-woo kind of day!

Good morning... really close to afternoon! The sun is shining... the birds are singing (they ARE... we have oodles of birds in a row of trees next to our house... they are so cute)... the day is looking bright!

I really hope to get 'er done today! You know those days where you zoom through all your tasks like Cinderella & her little mouse friends! I want THAT today... minus the cute little furry guys of course! Maybe I should rummage through my closet and see if I have a pretty blue dress... that might help! Although I am not really a dress gal... a skirt once in a blue moon. Maybe if I sing really loud & lovely... that might help! Or maybe prince charming will come along and rescue me away from it all!

Well... I am not Cinderella... far from it... I'm not even blonde! I'm lucky! I have a real family that needs me...! So... Lord... you can do it! You can give me the kick I need! With you sitting on my shoulder I can conquer all my tasks and more!

So here goes! Toodles until I later! I'm off to whistle while I work... doo doo doo doo doo doo doo la la la la la la la!

p.s. I hope to have a small update to the shop by tomorrow too!

Is it really Monday... already? Where did it go? I kind of feel like I could use another "stay in my jammies til it gets rediculous" day... awe Saturday.

We actually played tennis yesterday... Sophie... Nancy... Ruth Ann... aren't you proud? Come on throw me a cookie! It definitely wasn't the same without yall! Really could have used some pointers from David too! Especially since Todd plays to win! The concept of keeping the ball going... not his game! Now... just need to find some fellow players here!

The best thing that we did over the weekend... we had mexican food! Oh yeah! Since we left Texas this was the first chalupa that met my lips! It was glorious! I do love food... BUT I love some good mexican food... and it was GOOD! The salsa... fresh! Fabulous! Ole'

So... since you're here... marvelous Monday... here we are! We're ready to get up & go! Get up and go for it! Get up & grab all that the day has to offer!

So... yesterday when i just needed to "breathe"... well i did!

We get those days sometimes (atleast I do) when we feel the "is this it?"... the move has been a bit to handle. We have moved five times since we've been married... we were in our last home (i so loved) six years... and we've only been married ten years! I think that is alot of moving. Our path right now is just really curvy... I'm on the "I'm right where I should be" train... it just gets awfully bumping at times!

So... some pretty new paper & a pretty little face! That is sure to bring a smile!

Friday plans... I'm off to warm up my coffee... jump in the shower (yes! I am still in my robe)... and out we go! Running around town with a mission and a plan!

Back when I was standing there in all my pregnant glory... naked as a hippo on the river's bank!

Anyway... these are my casts... as crazy as it sounds... they are really precious to me. When we made the move to Colorado the girls and I were flying so I made my husband drive with them in the suv! I didn't want them to get messed up or lost in the move! I know... crazy lady! I realize they are just "things", but they hold so many memories. They show ME carrying my precious angels INSIDE of ME! Life... the miracle of it all!

I highly recommend doing a belly cast! My sister did both of mine (bless her) and they were both times I will always remember. We laughed our heads off! My small advice... make sure you are covered really well... everywhere... with the oil! Very important! trust me! When we did my first cast... I had some really good friends WATCHING! Oh... and my mother-in-law... so sorry JoAnn! You know you are loved when they see you naked and they STILL love you!
So... get over the fact that somone will have to see you naked & do it... you'll be happy you did!

There are tons of places to get kits now. It comes in kits! We went the old school route... my sister had already had her belly done and knew just the supplies needed... off to the medical supply shop!

And my word have you seen some of the ways others have painted & decorated their casts! Wowsers! Just google "belly cast" and enjoy! I have chosen to keep mine simply white. I have them hung by simple ribbon where I can enjoy them often!

Now my husband... for some silly reason... will probably freak when he sees that these were posted... but come on... really! I cut off the essential feeding tools just for him! It's okay dear... !

i was just telling a friend the other night that i was getting "used to" our view... i take that back!

Well... it will be just about time to put these away! The snow is melting fast outside! The mountains around us... Vail / Aspen / Telluride / Steamboat / Crested Butte / Powderhorn... still have tons! I know we'll be making some spring ski day trips. I prefer going in the spring... way too cold in the winter... when your ears & boobs feel like they are going to fall off!

Let's see... today I am feeling... TIRED! I do not know what is going on, but I have had a really big case of insomnia! Big case! Last night... or rather this morning I finally fell asleep about 4 a.m.! I have only been able to get three to four hours a night! And those that know me... know that is just NOT enough! I feel like a zombie! This has been going on for well over a week! I would LOVE any advice or ideas on how to fix this issue! Mama needs some sleep!

So... I added a couple of goodies to the 'ol shop yesterday! I call them goodies... okay... well I think they are goodies... or treats. More goodies to come too!

It's Tuesday... feeling a bit like Monday! My goal... get some good 'ol vitamin D in me! The sun is shining & it is a beautiful day!

indians & coyotes

Daddy... please... again... again... please! What is it about being tossed around & hung upside down that is so much fun? It just is! I remember as a kid that being our favorite thing too! My dad WAS the Incredible Hulk!

So here we were sitting in the family room... "there's a coyote"! Just shy of our backyard! Quick run... get the camera! Terrible... far away... pic... but you get the idea! I just missed getting it's face... shoot! Speaking of shoot... "I'm going to get my shotgun"... "you can't shoot a coyote"... "yes I can"... "not in the neighborhood"... "I wonder if our neighbors would get mad"... "I would love to shoot a coyote"... NO he didn't shoot it! He wanted to though. Sorry! We wouldn't want our little Gretel to be found! I am already freaked out by all the hawks everywhere! This is a bit different than Texas! I seriously doubt an armadillo would give Gretel a second thought!

in walked daddy...

I was LOST last night... watching the ever ultimate LOST... when in walks my husband! Todd was supposed to be in... uhh... in... uhhh... that's really bad... maybe Salt Lake... I'm not certain... crazy. ANYWAY... he surprised us! We weren't expecting him until tonight. The girls squealed in sheer delight! Daddy's home... daddy's home!

He came with treats for his little ladies. My favorite thing... the tulips! For those of you that know Todd... know he is very talented at MANY things... gift buying is NOT one of them! God love him! OMGoodness... he can pick out some doozies! Some real "what was he thinking" kind of things. I know I sound so ungrateful... I'm really not... we just both have our weaknesses this is just one of his! It would take me a LONG time to list all of mine. I do LOVE the fact that he remembers tulips... I carried ivory tulips when we were married. Fresh tulips always bring a smile! Thanks hon!
