i could come up with a ton...

I've been tagged by the really creative IslandBaby to share six non-important things / habits / quirks about myself.

Okay... so here are six really quick... off the cuff... silly things!

• I could not… would rather not try… going without coffee in the morning. When I’m up I walk straight to the coffee maker!
  
  
• I think I have some level of OCD! Cans in the pantry… items in the fridge… storage under the sink… etc. must face the same way. I label everything that can be labeled. My head can spin around… like a mad woman… when things get really messy in the house.
  
  
• When making a list… writing a note… jotting down a reminder… if I don’t like the way it looks… I throw it away & start over! No matter how many times it takes to “look right”! I know… nuts!
  
  
• With it warming up… becoming Spring… the mere thought of putting on a swimsuit right now gives me the chills! No way!
  
  
• I will use Kleenex if we run out of tp just to delay going to the grocery store… can’t stand grocery shopping. Plain silly!
  
  
• I just ate a Milky Way bunny let over from yesterday! And I wonder why I don’t want to put on a swimsuit!

what a great day! we sure missed being with our family this Easter! the girls still enjoyed some cascarones... thanks nonny! it would not be the same without the colorful confetti in their hair & seeing their sheer delight of cracking somes eggs on some heads! :)

it was a FULL weekend... a full week! the little chickadees are exhausted! past the point! they are at their max! check please! bath... pj's... bed! zzzzzzzzz

a day FULL of gifts. . . . . He is alive!

high altitude fun

We had quite the day! Campbell & Ian were little two miniature pros... they even road the lifts by themselves... trying to leave us at every opportunity! Riley on the other hand... did not want to ski! She was happy go lucky in the beginning... was all about the cute boots... but just did not like the sliding sensation under her feet... oh well... what do you do! At the end of the day she said "I'm ready to ski now"! Ha! She'll have to wait til next time!

It was just like old times skiing with my sister... really great... we were really goofy! Our bodies definitely hurt more... my knees... now I get what my parents meant! It does get a bit harder on the 'ol bod! Sore muscles & all... it was the best day ever! Another special time to add to my fond memory bank!

This visit with them was very special... a true gift... reminds just how lucky I am to have such a super sis! She's the best! The miles may be long between us but our bond lives always in our hearts!

We're off to for a day of skiing! should be fun & quite interesting! my sister & I have not skied together since we were probably 14ish! Pray for ME!!! I am going to have to pull out some serious energy & strength... from where... not sure! :)

Bad picture quality... great memories! My word... was this back when we thought it was okay to just bake out in the sun!!! Tan-o-rama! My sister & me! This was a family trip to Cozumel must have been around 1995... I'm guessing. It was way fun! Driving mopeds... snorkeling... eating like pigs... naps in the afternoon... playing cards at night... drinking coke from glass bottles... laughing til it hurt!

That is the great thing about family time... the memories... they are always there... living in your heart... to draw on when you need them. No one can take them away... those memories are yours to treasure!

Is someone always left out? Is that how it usually balances out? Yesterday Campbell & Ian were like two pioneers out discovering the wide world... leaving little bit in the dust! Well... I know they don't mean to leave her behind (i hope)... she just has a hard time keeping up! Little cutie patootie... she just wants to be included. My sister says she can SO relate... that's how it was for her being the little one among all the cousins! awwwwwe! So... some extra hugs & kisses & mommy being the other mouse made it all better!

My sister made it... after a really long two days on the road... they arrived in our driveway! That is always such a good feeling... when who your waiting on arrives! :) joy!

brrrrr! The sun was hiding the big part of the day! The temp gauge "said" it was 39 degrees... I think it was colder! :)

We still headed out to see what we could see!

Having Ian here is the best thing in the world to the girls! Good times! Big smiles! Deep belly laughs! We're all happy... happy... happy day! :)

some saturday fun

I should have been cleaning... catching up on laundry... fluffing the pillows for my sister's arrival... BUT I wanted to have some fun! :)

Pictures just do not do it justice! Just don't! :) My grandmama gave me this Lane dresser a while back... how incredible is that! I just love the fact that it was hers! I am crazy for it... crazy for the lines of it! Really simple... clean... and hip to boot!

Anyway... I hope her eyes do not pop out of socket... I distressed it! Really aged it & put "wear" on it. I love the way it turned out. It is a really warm heirloom white (cream). For me... I love the look! Just for what I was shooting!

After that sun shiny day yesterday... we had snow blow in last night! snow! Now... we are in the valley so we just saw rain & big winds... the mountains got a dusting though... see! I think they look pretty!

So today... I think we'll need boots! We have a big day... at least it feels like that. My sister & my nephew will be here tomorrow!!! I can hardly wait! They are making the drive from good 'ol Texas! We're very lucky they have decided to spend their spring break with us! :) It will be a time! I pray that angels surround them on their journey! May pee stops be limited... the roads be clear... the sun shining! :)
